Precompiled Firmware
The following pages list downloads featuring the FTDI’s pre-compiled firmwares for the Vinculum VNC1L and VNC2 USB Host / Slave controllers. The firmware files provide ready-to-use application firmwares for the Vinculum devices, featuring integrated USB driver support for a range of applications including USB disk interfacing, drivers for HID (Human Interface Devices), HUBs and communication class(CDC) devices.

SPI Master to FT232 USB Device Class Sample Application ROM
This demonstration application will bridge a FT232 USB device class present on the VNC2 USB host port 1 to a SPI Master interface. Data is transferrable from the SPI Master to the host PC via a FT232 USB class interface. This demonstration application will bridge a USB memory device present on the VNC2 USB host port 1 to a SPI interface. Data is transferrable from the SPI to the memory. The default SPI slave parameters are Clock Phase = 0, Clock Polarity =0, MSB first, address = 0 and VNC2 unmanaged mode. The file may be used on 32, 48 or 64 pin packages. USB HID to SPI Master Sample Application ROM
This demonstration application will bridge a USB HID class device (e.g. keyboard or mouse) present on the VNC2 USB host port 1 to a SPI interface. Data is transferrable from the HID Class device to the SPI Master port. The default SPI master parameters are SPI mode 0 with a 3MHz clock. Data will be sent MSB first. This demonstration application will bridge a VNC2 UART to the VNC2 SPI Master for controlling SPI slave devices. Data is transferrable in both directions.
