modules and evaluation kits available which incorporate FTDI devices.
These pages list some of those available with links to the manufacturers

Vinculum Modules |

Several modules demonstrating the capabilities of the new
Vinculum IC are available, including
DIP modules, add-on modules and dedicated application modules.
A quantity discount structure also makes these modules suitable for
incorporation into low/medium volume finished product designs.

FT232R Modules |

A range of modules based on the FT232R IC are now available from FTDI
and its distribution channels. These new modules include USB -
RS232 converters, DIP modules and a mini-module only slightly larger
than a USB connector.
These products allow customers to quickly evaluate the
FT232R device and drivers prior to commencing their own design.

format, whilst others have an on-board microcontroller as well. These modules are suitable for incorporating directly into low/medium volume product designs as they can plug into standard DIP

FPGA Development Kits |
|
|
FTDI's
FT2232C UART/FIFO and FT245BM USB FIFO devices are the ideal
companions for USB enabled FPGA designs. A simple state machine
interface inside the FPGA is all that is required for the FPGA to
communicate over USB. In many cases, the FPGA can also be
programmed over the same USB interface giving ultimate flexibility
to the design engineer. In the case of the FT2232C, one of the
available channels can be used to program the FPGA and the other can
be used to communicate at run-time. This section highlights such
FT2232C and FT245BM based FPGA development kits using Altera,
Lattice and Xilinx FPGAs.

Wireless Modules |

This section highlights wireless modules based on FTDI devices.
These RF transceiver modules are designed to enable wireless networking
within a home, office or factory environment by replacing the wiring
typically found between a microcontroller/DSP/FPGA, etc. and host PC.
The DLP-RF1 and DLP-RF2 ZigBee ready transceivers have been granted
modular approval. Under this approval, customer designs meeting a
few basic requirements need not undergo additional regulatory agency (FCC,
Industry Canada) transmitter testing. Please refer to the
datasheets for additional details.
